Parent volunteers are an important pillar of the GSC Community. There are many ways to volunteer. Volunteering positions are divided into Saturday morning positions, which require you to be at the school on the committed dates, and “year round” positions, which often don’t require physical presence at the school. If you can’t contribute time to the volunteering program, we also provide the option to opt out, in which case we ask for a $120/semester contribution to the school.
The initial sign-up period for volunteer positions is during the first weeks of the semester. Sign-up for the Fall 2016 semester will need to be completed by October 15. After this deadline, any families not yet signed up will receive notices.
To encourage volunteer engagement, we have a “Volunteer of the Month” program. Every month a parent volunteer will be featured in the news email. The Volunteer of the Month also has a dedicated parking spot close to the school entrance.
