Before you start the registration process, we ask that you take the time to read through the information on this page. The information is intended to address all common questions regarding the registration process. It will help make your registration experience quick and straightforward.

2026/27 Tuition Rates

An Early Bird discount (for in-person classes) of $100 for the full year will be applied to all returning registrations before June 13. For students registering for the first time, we offer a “new student” discount (for in-person classes) of $100 for the full year. Only one of these discounts will apply.

You will have the choice to pay tuition either by the first day of school in full or in two installments (as represented in the table below). When paying with ACH you will receive a one-time discount of $50 for the full year.

A $500 deposit is required at time of registration for all classes, except for Flummies which requires a $300 deposit. See further down for the full payment schedule.

Additional Fees/Items

Stamford

$290 Volunteering Opt-Out Fee	Payable once per family per year. This fee is waived for any family signing up to volunteer.
$45 Materials Fee	Payable once per student per year to cover text books and other class materials. This fee does not apply to adult students. Adult students purchase books and other materials separately (approx. $50).

West Hartford

$290 Volunteering Opt-Out Fee	Payable once per family per year. This fee is waived for any family signing up to volunteer.
Text Books	Books for Children and Adult classes are available for purchase in the GSC office.

Registration Tips

Late Fees	Late Payment Fee: A fee of $150 may be imposed if payment is not received by Aug 31st, 2026 (and Jan 5th, 2027 for residual payment if paid in installments).
Class Times	Classes are from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. with a Pause/recess around 11 a.m.. Each school year has 30 class sessions. Because of the low student/teacher ratio, Stamford Adult Beginner classes are only 90 mins long and begin either at 9:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.. Flummi class time (Stamford only) is from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Online class times might differ. Please refer to the online class schedule.
Flummi Classes	For Flummi classes (Stamford only) one caregiver needs to be with the child in the classroom at all times. Class time is from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Family Discounts	Family discounts will only be applied automatically if the same email address/account is used for all registrations. Please always use only one account for your family.

Important Dates

Jun 13^th, 2026	Last day for returning families to take advantage of the Early Bird pricing.
Aug 29^th, 2026	West Hartford Campus Open House
Aug 31st, 2026	Fall registration and payment deadline for returning families. If you pay after this date (either in full or 1st installment) a payment late fee of $150 may apply.
Sep 5^th, 2026	Stamford Campus Open House.

Sep 12^th, 2026	First class of 2026/2027 school year.
Jan 5th, 2027	Payment deadline for final installment. If you have an outstanding tuition balance after this date, a payment late fee of $150 may apply.

B Beginner 2 (A2-level, some prior knowledge):
Every Thursday at 6:40-8:10pm starting on September 17th:

Summer Connect Classes 2026

Welcome to the SUMMER CONNECT CLASSES 2026

Our Summer 2026 Connect classes are available now and specific classes and scheduled dates/times are listed here.

Youth Connect Class (Age 8+) (5 x 60 minutes = total cost $130):
This is a fun way for our school aged youth to connect with their teachers and classmates during the summer or to meet other teachers and make new friends while practicing their existing German skills and also learn some new ones.
Each Connect meets 5 times for 60 minutes and will depend on registration.
A Connect will run with 4 to 7 participants online via Zoom.
Total cost for 5 classes: $130

Adult Connect Class (Age 18+) (5 x 60 minutes = total cost: $130):
If you want to meet with your teacher and classmates or you would like to meet other teachers and make new friends while practicing your German skills and learn some new skills, than these connects are for you.
Each Connect meets 5 times for 60 minutes and will depend on registration.
Each Connect will run with 4 to 7 participants online via Zoom.
Total cost for 5 classes: $130

Private lessons are also available upon request.

Welcome to the registration for private tutoring. Please do not register prior to contacting the principal at principal@germanschoolct.org.
